Every Friday night our gym is open for teens in the community to come play basketball. Food is organized by different community groups in the church and served for free to those who come and play, and a bible study is also provided.

  • Vacation Bible School

Our All Stars Kid’s Ministry hosts an annual Vacation Bible School every summer for Kindergarten through 5th grade. Our VBS experience is unique in that we offer it in the evenings. This allows for dual income families and single parents to comfortably bring their kids to an incredible, Gospel-centered experience.

  • Love Invasion

Love Invasion is an annual, Spring Break local mission trip for our City Lights Student Ministry. City On a Hill partners with 2-3 churches each year and students from the different youth ministries come together to serve the community as the hands and feet of Jesus. We have served families from our local YMCA and All Stars Early Learning Center.

  • City Disc Park

City On a Hill built a 9-hole disc golf course on our property that is open to the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. People come from all over Dallas/Fort Worth to our property to play disc golf. The course is even on open on Sunday mornings so people can come check out the church if they are interested.

  • Meals on Wheels

Every day the local Meals on Wheels ministry uses our gym as a distribution point for volunteers who deliver the meals to the elderly.

  • Various Community Recovery Groups.

We have a number of recovery groups that use our facility for their weekly meetings including NA (Narcotics Anonymous), OA (Overeaters Anonymous).

  • PAL (Police Athletic League)

The East Fort Worth PAL has a professional boxing ring and workout facility set up on the third floor of our gymnasium. The off-duty officers train local at-risk youth in boxing and carry them to boxing tournaments around the state and nation. They train four nights of the week and Saturday.

  • Pais Project

Pais is a global ministry that recruits young adults from around the world to give a year of their lives to do missions. Each year, City On a Hill hosts 4 to 5 international young people from August through June. They are hosted in the homes of church members. They go into the local high schools to teach on subjects such as integrity, leadership, etc., as they attempt to be a bridge between the students and City On a Hill. They also work with our Student Pastor on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings in our student ministry.

  • True Mark

True Mark is an outdoor ministry started by Bryan Duncan, our Freedom Groups pastor.  True Mark coordinates outdoor activities on ranches in the state, teaching at-risk young people outdoor life, hunting, gun safety, and fishing. Each young person is paired with an adult mentor who is trained in gun safety and is an experienced outdoors man. On each outing there is Bible study and spiritual mentoring.

  • Tarrant Baptist Association

We give a percentage of our offering to the Tarrant Baptist Association, along with hundreds of other churches in Tarrant County, for funding local missions of all kinds (Shelter, food, clothing, outreach, etc.).

State Missions

  • Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT)

We support the Baptist General Convention along with thousands of other churches. The Baptist General Convention (also known as Texas Baptists) partner nationally and internationally with the Southern Baptist Convention for missions. The BGCT is the oldest surviving Baptist convention in the state of Texas.

  • Refuge Ranch

Refuge Ranch is located on 106 acres in East Texas and is owned by City On a Hill. It has a lake on the property and facilities for overnight stay. It is used in a variety of ways. Our small groups are encouraged to invite people outside of the church to go with them on a weekend retreat in an effort to reach people for Christ and surround them with Godly community.

  • Southern Baptist Convention

City On a Hill is a proud supporter of the SBC, and has been since our inception. In addition to adopting the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, we believe that the mission ministry found in the efforts of the SBC as well as the emphasis on church planting are noble and biblical causes worthy of supporting.

  • Pais Kenya

We helped organize Pais in Kenya. We also give financially to support the Pais teams each year who work in Kenya. Pais Kenya has expanded outside of Nairobi into other cities in Kenya.

  • International Mission Board

We give financially to our denominations mission board which supports over 5,000 full-time missionaries around the globe.
