Hebrews 2:5-9

Hebrews 2:5 – “For it was not to angels that God subjected the world to come, of which we are speaking.”
“Subjection,” Gk. ὑποτάσσω (hypotassō), “to arrange under” or “to subordinate”
Eph. 5:22 – “…wives, submit to your own husbands as to the Lord.”
Eph. 5:21 – Christians submit to one another
Rom. 8:7 – Submit to God’s Word
1 Pet. 5:5 – Young are to submit to old
Rom. 13:1 – Submit to ruling authorities
Eph. 1:10 – “…to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.”
Hebrews 2:6-8a – “It has been testified somewhere, ‘What is man, that you are mindful of him, or the son of man, that you care for him? 7 You made him for a little while lower than the angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor, 8 putting everything in subjection under his feet.’”

1. As the Creator of all things, God is uniquely interested in mankind
