At City Lights student ministry, we believe that putting your faith into practice is at the forefront of authentic discipleship. Whether caring for one another within the church or making efforts to show our friends and neighbors that they are loved, it is our mission to be a shining light in our church and community.
Sundays
Sundays at City Lights Student Ministry are all about worshiping, and learning together. Each week we gather at 9:00am with the rest of church body for worship, fellowship and teaching from our senior pastors. Following this corporate gathering, at 10:30am students gather for an age specific time of activities, teaching and small group learning. Our 6th- 8th grades and 9th-12th grades are guided through an immersive and interactive curriculum that has been selected based on intensive research regarding the biblical truths and topics that our teenagers most need to be equipped with.
Wednesdays
Our student ministry meets every Wednesday evening at 6:30pm for an experience based approach to discipleship. This includes learning how to study God's word and practically apply it, confession and practically walking through steps to heal from the wounds of this world and grow in character, and to experience (rather than just educate) significant spiritual disciplines. Our 6th through 12th graders meet in the gym.
Our special events are created with a balanced discipleship experience in mind. Scattered throughout the school year, students will serve together, play together and learn together resulting in a stronger relationship with God and community with each other.
A year with City Lights Students will expose our youth to local opportunities to reach their own city during Spring Break mission, serving as student leaders at VBS to summer camps nationwide, international mission opportunities, and so much more. Check out our calendar page here.
